Happy Week 34! :) 37 days left til we meet the little man! :) This is a busy week for us and Greyson's growth is no different. He now weighs about 4 3/4lbs or the weight of your average cantaloupe. He is also almost 18 inches long. His fat layers which will help him regulate his body temperature one he is born are filling out making him rounder. (ahhh i can't wait to meet my chunky monkey!) His skin is also smoother then ever (ahhh can I kiss his little cheeks now please?!!?!?) and his central nervous system is maturing as well as his lungs. Baby Center says that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do just fine though they may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery. I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon, but it's good to know that if he does decide to come early he's still got a good chance of being perfectly healthy.
I'm feeling a little tired now. Some days I just feel ridiculously pregnant and other days I feel fine. My hips are killing me with this little guy. I think he's lower then Ava was so that's not helping, but I also wasn't on the floor playing with a 2 year old non-stop when I was pregnant the 1st time. They say every pregnancy is different and I guess I got super lucky with Ava (after all the puking) but he has been kicking my butt since week 15. :) Tomorrow I'm getting a prenatal massage and I'm sooooooooooooo excited. I also go back for my ob checkup on Tuesday where they will check my blood platelets again and hopefully have the good news that they are higher. If not, I'm off to the hematologist. I hope my diet changes have helped it out but if not, we will take everything as it comes. If it did help make them higher then I will be continuing my high iron and vitamin c diet until April 24th when Greyson makes his debut. If there's anything I've learned in this pregnancy it's that I am definitely not in charge. I just grow him. :)
We are also starting construction on the door we are moving on Wednesday. It should take through Friday at the latest so once we get through this week I'll be able to relax a bit...and HELLO finish decorating the little man's room!! I hope it's an easy low stress project like everyone keeps telling me, but I'll let you know on Sunday. :) Ava's also finishing up her swim lessons this week and I have a ton of pictures from our weekend adventures at the pool, but I'll do those sometime this week. Sorry---you'll have to wait! Today is Greyson's day. :)
Til next week when we are in the 20's!!!
Love and Ava hugs,
Rachel
