Today we did Ava's 1st makeup class so we are on Day 5 (really day 4, but we got the partial rain day last week). Today she learned what to do if she falls in the pool. It was honestly the day I was dreading, but she really didn't take it so bad. You have to stand on the side of the pool with her, grab her by the ribs and say "this is what you do if you fall in the pool. You turn, kick and reach. Ready, Set, Go...." then as you throw her in (away from the wall) you yell TURN! so she hears that last before she goes under the water. Once again, she did sooooooo well. I think this pregnant mama did pretty well too. I got to practice it once and I'm sure tomorrow I'll have to do it again a few times just to get it down. It's hard to think of the steps as you're tossing your 2 year old into the pool to fend for herself. It's good for her I know, but not so good for Mommy's heart. :) As you can see, she had no problem with it. :) Whew.

Whew - you are one brave Mama. I got super nervous then super proud of her once I saw she did it! And I'm not even her Mama - way to go Ava!
