35 WEEEEEEEKSSSSSS!

Hello everyone! :) Welcome to week 35!!!!
We will spend most of week 35 counting down a majority of our 20's because we are now at 30 days until our c-section. I'm very excited to meet our little man, but this week will be a hectic one no doubt. We start construction on Greyson's door on Monday (YAYYYYY!!!) which is super exciting. When I called the contractor to confirm on Friday I almost died when he said he would be here at 8am. FINALLY---I will be able to nest! I keep having these urges to get down and clean the baseboards and floors, but then I think to myself "hellloooooo construction in our house next week----just take a nap." I can't tell you how excited I am to put up all of his trains and fun things that I've found/bought/made since we found out he was a boy. I am currently making him a mobile. In my head it's fabulous and adorable so hopefully it comes out that way in person. :)
Then on Tuesday little Miss Ava has her 1st ever school Easter program!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think my !!!!!!!'s say it all. Don't worry Mom Mom and Pop Pop....they are selling videos of it for $10 so you will definitely get to see it. I'm such a dork because I can't even explain how ridiculously excited I am. She has been singing her song for the past month---though knowing her once she sees all the people she will probably hide her little face in her hands the whole time. :) Ughhhh soooo stinking cute I can't even handle it.
Tuesday also happens to be my 1st appointment with the hematologist. We got the call on Thursday that my blood platelets are still dropping pretty quickly so they want me to get checked out. From what I hear from my doctor---they will try to stop my body from attacking the platelets by putting me on steroids. I'm guessing they'll do a bunch of their own blood work Tuesday and just go from there. Everything I've read says my levels aren't in a terrible place so I think they're just being more cautious then worried. Not my idea of fun, but this whole pregnancy has been one roller coaster ride after another so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. :) This too shall pass and I'm pretty sure once I see his gorgeous little face I won't even remember being stressed about these things. Is it April 24th yet? :)
So now onto the little man. He is over 18 inches long and weighs about 5 1/4lbs. He's so big that they say he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but he definitely does know how to find my ribs. His kidneys are fully developed now and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete and he will spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
I'm not going to lie---I'm very excited to do my week 36 blog. Not because anything fabulously exciting happens, but because that means this week is over and the little guy's room will be ready to be decorated and we can just get ready for all that is Greyson. Wish me luck in the house with a 2 year old and contractors for 2 days......I bought lots of crafts and I'm ready, but ughhhh. Not looking forward to that one. Have a wonderful week!
Love and Ava hugs,
Rachel
