Our Easter on the couch.....

Yesterday we were supposed to take Ava to an Easter egg hunt, but she woke up with a slight fever and just looked kind of off. By the afternoon she seemed fine with just a little clear snot, but nothing too horrible. She went to bed no problem so I figured it was just a little cold.
Today Ava woke up at 6:45 (which is not like her at all) with a terrible cough and 102 fever. It sounded like she was barking so we believe she has croup. After a little googling, we decided to just spend the day at home resting. Croup is a virus and while her poor little cough sounds terrible there's not much a doctor can do. If it starts affecting her breathing we will bring her in to the doctor obviously, but it was only really bad after she woke up and after nap. Other then that she just looked exhausted and snotty.
So needless to say it was not the typical Easter Sunday, but it was nice to just cuddle on the couch for a majority of it. Michael took it upon himself to do some of my "nesting" and cleaned everything from the floors to my laundry closet. :) I don't think it's ever been so clean in there! He's the best. He also helped me finish most of Greyson's room yesterday and today. Did I mention he's the best? Once the closet doors are in  we will be done!!!  :) Here are some pictures of our day today......
Ava and Michael when they woke up.....a little Mickey Mouse and couch time.

Ava's Easter "basket." The Easter Bunny went a little crazy this year, so it took over the table not just her basket. Oops. :) She got trains, princesses, paints, stickers, and her favorites---jelly beans and m&m's. Last year as an only child....i think it was the Mommy guilt...oh wait, the Easter Bunny guilt.

Jelly Beans for breakfast? Sure....why not. It's Easter and she's sick. :)

A little sticker fun.

The Egg Hunt! :)

Ava's Easter basket was so full of presents I let her use her Halloween bucket. :) She's also wearing her Thomas shirt which was not my vision for her Easter outfit, but hey the poor monkey isn't feeling so good. :(

Ava decided she wanted to go outside for a bit so we set up her water table and pool. She played for I think 10 minutes then we went back to the couch.

Splash!!!

After nap....she came back to the couch.

For dinner instead of Nanny's delicious meal we had a PF Changs Meal for 2....not the most traditional Easter in the world (or as delicious), but I love spending time with my little family. I'm also thankful this terrible virus hit us 2 weeks before our threesome turns into a foursome so we all have time to recover in case it hits more then just Ava.
We hope you had a wonderful Easter.
Love and Ava hugs,
Rachel
