Hi everyone,
For those of you who don't know---we are expecting our newest little bundle of joy at the end of April. We are ridiculously excited and can't wait to she him/her. Starting this week I will be giving weekly updates (fingers crossed) via this blog since I did it with Miss Ava. Not much has changed in the few years since I was pregnant before, but I want to make sure this little booger knows he/she is as loved and happily expected as I was with Ava. I have learned that pregnancies are just always different from each other though. With Ava I was puking at least once a day from week 6 to week 12. With this one---i only had nausea and never actually threw up. What a blessing to make it through the 1st trimester only feeling semi-disgusting. :) Then we hit week 15 and had a little minor scare. I woke up bleeding, ran to the hospital where they did an ultrasound and the baby is FINE. Heartbeat good, measuring a week and a half bigger then he/she should be but lets face it....I grow big babies...this was expected.. We found out that my placenta is low and after a trip to my OB the day after the hospital I was told to stop working out (not fun) and to limit my activities. In the past 2 weeks I've been so blessed with ridiculous amounts of help and love and couldn't ask for better family or friends. We have a followup ultrasound on MONDAY where i'm hoping they will find my placenta has migrated upward and we are no longer diagnosed with "placenta previa." Fingers crossed---I am not at this activity restriction stuff. :)
So now I am almost 17 weeks (17 weeks on Sunday) and i'm honestly feeling good. I feel lazy and i'm bored because i'm really trying to be good and follow the doctors orders but baby wise---i'm fabulous. I will do a 17 week baby update on Monday or Tuesday after the ultrasound and tell you all about this little monkeys development.
Love and Ava hugs (hmmm i'll have to update that line soon--any ideas?)
Rachel
