Week 27: Cauliflower Week

Hi everyone!

Welcome to week 27!!! Cauliflower week!

We hope everyone had a FABULOUS father’s day. We did! We went over to my dad’s condo for a day of sun and fun. The sun didn’t really want to play but we definitely had a bit of fun. We opened presents, got to float in the pool for a bit before it started monsooning on us, and went to dinner.
All in all a very nice day!!

Lovessss it!

So now onto our little angel!
This week she weighs almost 2 pounds---like the head of a cauliflower.

She is about 14 ½ inches which is CRAZY to me because you figure when she will come out into the world she will only be 19-21 inches long. Almost there!

She sleeps and wakes at regular intervals, is opening and closing her eyes, and maybe even sucking on her fingers!!!

Her brain is also very active due to more brain tissue developing.

While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning---with a lot of medical help---if she were to make an early appearance now.

Keep baking little lady, keep baking!!

She may also be hiccupping in there which would explain the rhythmic tickly feeling I get sometimes.
This is also the last week of our 2nd trimester. It went so so so so fast! I can’t believe she could be here in 90 days!!! I hear the 3rd trimester is more difficult due to the extra weight and tiredness returning, but so far I’m doing good.
