We arrived in Orlando at about 10pm on Friday night. Ava watched Cars on her way up so she didn't end up going to bed until about 11pm. She woke up at around 8 and we cuddled up in bed and watched a bit of Cars again....yeah, I know, but the girl likes what she likes. :) And mommy likes to cuddle so who am I to complain?

We stayed at the Hilton Orlando because Mike's parents were in town for the VHPA (Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association) Conference and that's where it was held. It was a fabulous hotel with a lazy river and a beach pool. Ava loves beach pools because it lets her play without us holding on to her constantly. The lazy river wasn't very lazy though because there was water squirting out at us on every turn. Ava wasn't a fan of that part, but once again, Mommy got lots of cuddles so I wasn't complaining. :)

On Saturday night we went to the VHPA's banquet. Ava was such a sweet pea the whole time and ended up charming a lot of people. She was a big fan of the band that played before and after the meal. She was such a little dancer. :) She must get that from her daddy! She also enjoyed the bag pipes that were played---in fact when they stopped she could be heard saying "more! more!" from across the room. Unfortunately right after the bag pipes they did a tribute to the missing man and asked for a moment of silence. Lets just say that Ava and I had to do a fast exit at that point and went to run around the lobby.
Sunday morning we woke up super early to take Ava to Chef Mickeys for a character breakfast. Once she saw Mickey and Minnie it was over---she stalked them around the restaurant. The only character she didn't like was Goofy, but I think that's because he is like 7 feet tall and was also the 1st one we met. We took a ton of pictures on Sunday so to see more just check out the link at the bottom. It was taking forever to upload more pictures!
After breakfast we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. It was so fun to watch Ava take everything in and just have the best time. She went on the carousel, the Dumbo ride, the choo choo train, It's a Small World, and Pirates of the Caribbean. It is definitely a different experience to go with a toddler and I think it's safe to say that we will be going back a lot more.
