I saw this on a friend’s blog and decided to try to do it. It was perfect timing because Mike is in Baltimore---so now he can see everything Ava and I did while he was gone. The downside of this is that I chose to have a VERY busy day with Ava (more so then usual) so it turned into quite the project. While all of you know I do take a ton of pictures anyways, my camera is not usually attached to me throughout the day---but today it was!! And I know that I’m super behind and you’re all asking for a blog about our Detroit trip and Ava on the plane, but I promise I’ll do it this week.
I just wanted Mike to know that he is definitely missed when he is gone and that Ava and I love him very much. He works so hard to make sure we are taken care of that I don’t think there are enough words to express how much that means to both of us. I know that sometimes in this crazy thing called life time sometimes goes too fast and we forget to tell people how much they mean to us and how much you appreciate everything they do. So today I just wanted to make sure that he knows that we are thinking of him.
We love you to the moon and back and then some….
Love and Ava hugs,
Rachel
Here we go! :) Today we woke up and Ava will usually have breakfast, but she is teething and so all she ended up having was milk. I forgot I was going to do this project so there is no picture of her drinking milk (wait til lunch though---I didn’t miss it then

After “breakfast,” Ava and I started our day the way we usually do. Cuddling. She always wakes up in the morning and asks me to cuddle on the couch. We usually watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but today she was content just cuddling and talking to me.
We then moved onto reading. Her daddy bought her a new train book yesterday and she ADORES it. It makes noise when you push the buttons so it annoys Mommy a little bit, but hey—she likes it!

Then we played with cars and beads.
Next on Ava’s agenda was checking out her shoes. You heard me…she put her sneakers up on the couch and was looking inside and smelling them. Don’t look at me, I don’t know…..I’m just her mother.
After Ava finished checking out her shoes, I got her dressed and we went to the dollar store and then to Joann’s fabric. For those of you that I don’t speak to on a quite so regular basis I got a Cricut Expression a couple of weeks ago and I am in full on Ava party mode. She’s very helpful while I’m shopping for new crafts though. Today she was SOOO good in the dollar store, I got her a balloon. ($1---hello, do no buy your balloons anywhere else!) Then when we went to Joann’s she happily walked around with a boa on.
We had fun in the car on the way home too! (Thank you balloon!)
When we got home, Ava got out of the car, asked to be put down and looked at Mike’s motorcycle and said “up?” So I put her up on it and she just kept giving the bike hugs. (All while still holding her balloon!)

After she was done missing her daddy, we ate lunch (yes, she ate!!) and said she wanted to watch “Cars.” More cuddling?! Sure you can watch “Cars!” She ended up on the floor drinking her milk which was the cutest thing.

We then had a dance party where Ava danced with her balloon (Hello---can you say best dollar spent ever?) and with one of the party hats I bought at the dollar store .
At 1pm she went down for her nap which was 3 hours today. J Shopping for party crafts is hard work. She definitely earned some good shut eye! When she woke up, we went to get Mommy some food for dinner. :) She was such a fabulous little lady while we waited for my sandwich!
