Happy Mother's Day....to ME! :)

This Mother's Day has been absolutely wonderful. I can't even put into words how blessed and loved I feel. Yesterday morning my sister, Ava and I went to a mother daughter brunch that her church puts on every year. We have gone to it every year since we moved back from Hawaii and it's a lovely tradition that I can't wait to share with Ava for many years to come. Sara also spoiled me with BEAUTIFUL tulips and publix cupcakes. Yummmmm i do love me some publix cupcakes! :)

Last night, Mike and I got to go out to dinner and to a movie. We saw "Soul Surfer"and I know you're thinking 'what a silly movie to see when you don't have your child with you' but it was actually really good. It was a loving, schmoopie, happy story for me and had a ton of surfing action for Mike which kept him happy too. I think it made us both miss Hawaii a little though....but it sure was fun to be like "hey! We've been there!"

Today we woke up and I got to open some FABULOUS presents. I got a necklace that has Ava's name and birthstone on it. I LOVEEEE IT! :) I also got a new camera---i know, i know! But this one is ridiculously fun because it can go into water up to 10 feet and be dropped, which is vitally important with Ava always trying to be Mommy's little photography assistant. She is definitely not allowed to hold my big camera.

After presents, we decided to go for a bike ride to Dunkin Donuts to get breakfast. It's only a few miles away and so it's an easy ride for everyone. :)

After our bike ride, we decided to go over to the condo and play in the pool for a little while and of course do a little swimming with my FABULOUS new camera!!

When we got home someone was very sleepy....here she is drinking her milk while lounging on her new climber stairs.

Being a Mommy is amazing and I honestly don't remember what life was like without my little Ava Mae. She is the happiest, sweetest, and cutest little person i've ever known and i'm so lucky that she's ours.
